Weather

Escape Cat operates in most weather conditions. However, for the safety and comfort of our guests, cruises may be postponed or cancelled in the event of severe weather, strong winds, or stormy seas.

What To Wear

unset cruises can become cooler as the evening sets in. We recommend bringing warm layers during winter, with scarves and beanies being popular choices. In summer, a light jersey or jacket is advisable. Comfortable closed shoes such as takkies are ideal for moving around onboard.

What to Bring: 

Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks. Don’t forget your camera or phone to capture the magical Cape Town sunset, and binoculars if you’d like a closer view of the coastline and marine life.

• Prompt arrival is essential as the boat cannot wait for latecomers, and refunds will not be provided.
• Remember to bring sunglasses, hats, jackets or windbreakers, and non-marking shoes (e.g., trainers/deck shoes). Avoid black soles or high heels.

• Escape Cat Catamaran requires a minimum of 4 passengers to operate the sunset cruise. If the minimum number is not reached, we will contact you and arrange an alternative boat for your sunset cruise.
• If Escape Cat Catamaran is booked for a private charter on your chosen date, we may also need to move your booking to another suitable boat.
• Please be flexible when booking Escape Cat Catamaran, as the boat may change depending on passenger numbers and private charter bookings.
